Art & Music Sponsorships

The Sierra County Arts Council is pleased to offer the Art and Music Sponsorship (AMS) program. The Arts Council is always seeking opportunities to bring more events and programs to our geographically isolated communities.  Through the AMS program, the Arts Council collaborates with local organizations and individual artists and musicians to bring art and music to all parts of Sierra County. Funding is limited so apply today.

Art & Music Sponsorship for Organizations & Individual Artists

Local organizations including civic groups, non-governmental organizations, and non-profits are eligible to apply for funding to hire artists and musicians to enhance events and programing through the AMS program.  Individual Artists with projects in Sierra County may also apply. Sierra County based groups who have received funding for arts and entertainment in the past include volunteer fire departments, search & rescue, Loyalton Rotary, Downieville Lions, Plumas-Sierra Cattlewomen, Sierra County Historical Society Music at the Mine, Downieville Improvement Group, Alleghany Community Water Department, Calpine Improvement Association, and Forest City Historical Society.  Funding of up to $500 per organization per year is available through the AMS program.

All events and programming must take place in Sierra County.  All funds will be paid directly to the musician or artist providing the service.  Events and programs funded through the AMS program will be featured on the Sierra County Arts Councils website.

You may also chose to Download PDF, fill out the simple application, snail mail or scan and email to the Sierra County Arts Council.  The program opens in January every year. Apply early as funds are limited.
