Bringing Art To The People Of Sierra County, California

Sierraville School

Sierraville School

Charming Sierraville School is quickly becoming a vibrant cultural center for the eastern Sierra Valley. Located not far from the village center at Sierraville, the school boasts a large multi-purpose room with a built-in stage, outdoor tennis courts, and a spacious school yard with commanding views of the surrounding valley and distant mountains.

Sierraville School is located on Highway 89 in Sierraville, about 25 miles north of Truckee. See map.

While the building is no longer used as a school, the Sierra Plumas Joint Unified School District maintains its administrative offices at the school and assures a year-round presence there. The Sierraville Recreation District conducts a full range of recreational activities at the school for the benefit of local citizens. The Arts Council is pleased to cooperate with these groups to ensure that this excellent facility contributes to the cultural life of this beautiful part of California.
