Bringing Art To The People Of Sierra County, California

Our Venues

The Sierra County Arts Council is pleased to present a variety of shows and community events throughout Sierra County and throughout the season.

The Arts Council has operated the historic Yuba Theatre in Downieville as a community arts venue since 1996. Originally built as a movie house after the devastating flood of 1937, the Yuba Theatre is the only fixed-seat theatre in Sierra County.

Since 2010, the Arts Council has cooperated with the Sierraville Recreation District and the Sierra Plumas Joint Unified School District to use Sierraville School in Sierraville as a performing arts venue to serve the Sierra Valley.
