‘Three Cups of Tea’ Collage Workshop

You are invited to a Collage Workshop with teacher/artist Cheryl Durrett.

Ms. Durrett will conduct a workshop where participants can learn and apply techniques in collage. The theme is around the Three Cups of Tea Community Read and your own inspiration.

The workshop is on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 9:00am to 12 noon at the Downieville School Cafeteria.

Each participant is invited to bring collage material (some materials will be supplied). All ages are welcome!

What is Collage?

Collage is the use of various art media in which patterns, shapes, and colors are arranged and stuck to a backing.

This workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Downieville Library, Downieville Schools and the Sierra County Arts Council, State-Local Partner of the California Arts Council.

Update:

Here are some pictures from the 2010 collage workshop. We hope you can join us next time!

  • Californians will once again have the opportunity to support the California Arts Council and its arts programs for children through their state individual tax refund. Sept. 2013, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. signed Senate Bill 571 (Senator Carol Liu, La Canada Flintridge), returning the arts to the voluntary contribution portion of California tax return forms through the new "Keep Arts in Schools Fund." Donations are tax deductible and support Arts Council programs throughout the state.
