The Sierra Turnpike Players of the Sierra County Arts Council and Downieville School present the ‘dessert’ theatre murder mystery  Cafe Murder at the Downieville School Cafeteria on Friday, October 20, 2017 and Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.

Murder mystery written by Nathan Hartswick. Produced by special arrangement with PIONEER DRAMA SERVICE, INC., Englewood, CO.

Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for students and seniors and are available at Downieville Day Spa (530 289 3504) or at the door.

This hilarious murder mystery comedy, a collaboration of the Sierra Turnpike Players and Downieville School’s Drama Class, is not to be missed.  Rosemary Saint-John is a loud, annoying hypochondriac convinced she is allergic to water.  Celebrating her birthday at a restaurant with her four kooky sisters–a hippie, a valley girl, a trucker and a banker–Rosemary makes enemies with everyone around her.  When she disappears and is presumed murdered, the only objective witnesses in the restaurant are the audience members, who must cast their vote.  Was it one of Rosemary’s sisters?  The self-taught detective?  The passionate French chef?  The polite and proper maître d’?  The sarcastic waiter?  No one is above suspicion in this delightful dessert theatre murder mystery!
